Job Title: Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Job Summary:

Our growing Chiropractic office is seeking an empathetic, skilled, adaptable, and professional Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to support patient care through therapeutic massage. In this position, you will work closely with the chiropractor and healthcare team. The ideal candidate has previously worked in a chiropractic office/clinical environment performing therapeutic massages. We are looking for an LMT who values and actively pursues continuing education and training to enhance their skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills and is passionate about massage therapy.

 

Job Type:

  • Independent Contractor (1099)

  • Part-time

  • Competitive commission rate + tips

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all state and local licensing laws and regulations.

  • Maintain current Virginia license for massage therapy.

  • Proficiently perform a variety of massage techniques to include, but not limited to myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point (myofascial required).

  • Consult with patients regarding their medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.

  • Complete and maintain accurate patient SOAP notes and collaborate with chiropractor to support treatment plans.

  • Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and chiropractic care.

  • Protect patient confidentiality and health information at all times.

  • Maintain clinical standards of care, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.

  • Ensure the massage therapy room, table, linens, towels, and equipment are clean and prepared for each session.

  • Responsible for managing and laundering all linens and towels for treatment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current massage therapy license in Virginia.

  • Successful completion of a massage therapy educational program.

  • A minimum of 500 hours of training and requirements outlined in the Code of Virginia.

  • At least 5 years of experience as an LMT (new graduates may be considered).

  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.

  • Ability to work flexible hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

  • Experience with SOAP charting and EMR systems.

  • Experience with rehabilitative and post-injury massage techniques.

  • Physical ability to optimally perform all duties of massage therapy.
