What is Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues performed by a licensed professional. Massage therapists use their hands, fingers, and forearms to knead, rub, press, and stroke the muscles, tendons, and ligaments for stress reduction, relaxation, relief from muscular tension, and improvement of circulation.

Many people seek massage therapy as an alternative to medications, pain relief and/or to reduce the effects of stress on their body. As licensed massage therapists, we utilize pressure and various strokes applied to the soft tissues of the body to help alleviate pain

Massage therapy can greatly benefit your body by helping to lower blood pressure, reduce headache frequencies, relieve pain from fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel syndrome, sciatica, osteoarthritis, and a myriad of other pain producing ailments. Additionally, massage therapy can help reduce post operative pain, help boost immune functions, and ease some of the effects of major illnesses like cancer.
